About Adventure2.0
Adventure is better when you build it
What is Adventure2.0
Adventure2.0 is where modern overlanding meets maker culture — a home for people who love exploring the outdoors and improving the gear that gets them there. We blend rugged trails with clever engineering, playful creativity, and hands-on learning. If you enjoy tinkering with your rig, upgrading your camp setup, or trying new gear that actually improves your weekend adventures, you’re in the right place.
What We Believe
We believe the best adventures aren’t bought — they’re built, tested, refined, and shared.
Adventure2.0 brings together two tribes:
Makers — people who roll up their sleeves, tweak their 4×4, design small upgrades, and build smarter systems.
Explorers — people who crave nature, quiet roads, campfire moments, and gear that works without drama.
Most of us are a mix of both.
A Personal Note
My name is Kfir, and I live in Northern Israel, in the Golan Heights — a place where short drives can turn into unforgettable off-road escapes.
I’ve been driving and owning 4×4 vehicles since I got my license. Over the years, I’ve owned and explored with vehicles like the Daihatsu Feroza, Isuzu Trooper, and Isuzu D-Max, each one teaching me something different about off-road driving, vehicle limits, and preparation.
Today, I drive a Land Rover Discovery 4, which sits right at the intersection of comfort, capability, and complexity — and that’s where things really got interesting.
Like many people, I started by relying on professionals for upgrades: winches, multimedia systems, electrical work. But through being part of a Land Rover owner community, watching countless YouTube videos, and learning from others’ mistakes and successes, I slowly started building confidence.
I began doing small things myself. Then bigger ones. Fixes. Installations. Experiments.
And somewhere along the way, I realized something unexpected: building and tinkering was almost as fun as hitting the trail itself.
Adventure2.0 was born from that realization.
This site exists to share that journey — and to help others add their own personal touch to their rigs and adventures, without intimidation, jargon, or unnecessary complexity.
What We Publish
We focus on practical, real-world, trail-tested guidance, including:
- DIY build guides that are clear, simple, and actually achievable
- Gear reviews based on real use, not spec sheets
- Smart upgrades for overlanding, camping, and vehicle-based travel
- “What works” checklists and troubleshooting tips
- Weekend adventure ideas that get you outside faster
- Rig stories, experiments, and honest lessons learned
Whether you’re installing a fridge, dialing in your sleeping setup, wiring a light bar, or choosing your first OBD scanner — our goal is to help you make confident, informed decisions.
Our Approach
We design, build, break, fix, improve, and share.
Everything here comes from real projects, not theory.
We sketch the idea.
We prototype it.
We trail test it.
Then we share the playbook so you can build your version smarter and faster.
It’s exploration — with a maker twist.
Why Adventure2.0 Exists
Because there’s something powerful about saying: “I built this myself.”
We chase warm sunrise light, pack soldering irons next to camp stoves, and test ideas that might work — or might totally fail — but always teach something.
We want to make outdoor adventures:
- simpler
- smarter
- more fun
- and more personal

Modern overlanding for makers
We believe that the best adventures don’t just happen — you build them
Everything we share here on Adventure2.0 comes from real projects, experiments, and lessons learned along the way. We're not certified mechanics, electricians, or professional technicians — just hands-on builders who enjoy learning by doing. Our goal is to inspire others to explore, create, and build smarter adventures, but please remember that what works for us may not work for every setup or skill level. Always use common sense, follow manufacturer instructions, and when in doubt — consult a qualified professional. Adventure is about curiosity and creativity, but safety always comes first.
